If You Think Your Disability is a Curse...
THINK AGAIN!
If you have to constantly prove your worth and capabilities...
If you are tired of enduring scrutiny about your ability to converse and just be yourself...
If you are exhausted, always having to justify your existence and equal standing...
If you feel like you're not able to move Heaven and Earth to reach your goals...
If others treat you as a kid even though you are an established adult...
If you feel like you add to others' plate and would love nothing more than getting independent...
If you feel judged and misunderstood...
If you want to enjoy your life to the fullest, without dying inside...
Then You Need to Read THIS Right Now!
My name is Sevan and I was born with cerebral palsy.
I began to crawl before I could even walk.
But it wasn't long before I had to use a wheelchair to get around.
When that happened, I felt that wheelchair was robbing me of my Life.
I felt trapped.
I remember the time when I had questions but found no answers. Being disabled comes with a lot of questions. I had to figure out the answers by myself.
I didn't know what to do.
I didn't know what to look for.
I didn't know who to talk to.
I felt hopeless.
Being a kid was not always easy.
But being a kid with a disability felt daunting, and there were many times when I doubted myself.
I was a regular kid in a wheelchair.
But in my mind, there was a tsunami of never-ending questions:
I never knew how anything would go:
Will I be able to make it to the classroom without falling?
Am I going to come across as a weird kid?
Despite having a wonderful family and supportive siblings, I always felt I was forging alone. I thought nobody could understand my situation until they lived it.
There were goals I wanted to achieve to gain my independence, and it took me a few attempts to reach them. Learning to drive and get my license was a huge turning point (no kidding).
Time went on and I became an adult. But questions were still there, unanswered:
Will my situation get worse?
Will I still be able to move my body?
Will I be able to go where I want to, when I want to?
Will I be able to live my life the way I want to?
All I wanted was someone that would tell me: It's gonna be OK.
Over time, as I got acquainted with other disabled young people, I saw many of them had the same questions, and I decided to set up this website to help others in need.
I want to share my experience with you and make you see what is truly possible when you're disabled (you'd be amazed!).
How Do I Know That?
Remember that wheelchair? I spent 4 years in it.
Now I walk with a crutch and enjoy my life to the fullest.
I looked around and saw very little about what to actually do to be happy WHILE you are disabled.
I wish there was something that could have helped me when I was growing up.
I looked around, desperate for a solution. But it was nowhere to be found.
So I created it.
